Birthday weekend

I have had the best weekend ever! This weekend was the weekend before my birthday. For that reason, my family flew in from Holland, to celebrate my birthday with me! It was so incredibly sweet of them to come all the way over here to be with me! The family arrived on Friday night, so we went to my aunt and uncle's house to have some drinks and some snacks. Afterwards, we went to the rented apartment and got some sleep. The next morning, we celebrated my birthday with a birthday breakfast. We ate really nice sandwiches and I received plenty and plenty of presents! Afterwards, I took my family into the city and showed them around. They were very eager to see where I have been living, working, and so on. It was a lovely day in Lund and the weather was great! In the afternoon, we did some groceries and went back to the apartment. There, the whole family (Swedish and Dutch) came together for a lovely birthday dinner (where I received even more presents!). It was a great night. The next morning we went out for some coffee, had lunch with the family and then it was time for everybody but my mom to leave, since they all had to work again tomorrow. It was a little sad to have to say goodbye to them again, but I am so thankful that they were here. My mom stayed one more day, and then moved on to Stockholm for another appointment. So that was my birthday weekend. I can't believe that everybody came. I am very grateful that I was able to see, hug and talk to them again.

Now, it is back to working again. And I will give you an update about that later. As for now, I am going to eat some leftover pie! :) Cheers!
