Day 1 in the Vosges

Today me and Charlotte had our first, full day in the Vosges in France. And we sure made use of it! We went to La Bresse, a little town near to our campsite, to go for a nice and long hike in the mountains. It turned out to be an amazingly beautiful hike through the woods of the mountains.

After 8 kilometres, we stumbled upon a quiet, with trees surrounded lake, at the height of 1050 meters. We decided that we had to go for a swim here, since the place was so magically beautiful. The water was nice and cold, the sun was shining. It was an amazing day.

After the hike we went to a market, bought some souvenirs and grabbed some dinner. Now it is time for a good night sleep in our small tent.

France?!

So, In all the stress for the upcoming holiday to the U.S.A. and my plans for Sweden, I totally forgot to mention that I also have a trip to France coming up! Tomorrow I will leave with one of my best friends Charlotte to the Vosges in France for a short but nice and active holiday!

Plans are: Swimming, Hiking, Canyoning and a lot more! So I will definitely write about all our adventures there, and show you some nice pics as well!

For now, the weather looks really good. Predictions say it will be about 24-30 degrees with sun all day every day!

Holiday location in France!

Say Goodbye!

Yesterday and the day before I had some drinks with friends to celebrate my journeys and also to say goodbye. While I am really looking forward to start my adventures abroad, I realised that there are a lot of people in my life that I will miss when I'm away. However, me and my friends had a great time and it was nice to see them all once again before we all take off on our holidays.

Today, I have to fill out a lot of forms for Sweden, where I will do a research internship in the fall (more about that later). And I have to start packing as well!

The upcoming weekend is full of fun. I will attend some parties with my boyfriend. After that, I will go to France with one of my best friends for a couple of days. After that, it's a tiny countdown till the U.S.A.
